Iniquities prevail against me; as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away (Psalms 65:3).

God is purging his gold. He wants to purge all the dross – that is, the filthiness, self righteousness and all sins – from the gold (our heart) till it shines with heavenly lustre reflecting his glory.
