Are you better off than Martha? Reconsider your priorities before God.

And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha; thou art careful and troubled about many things. But one thing is needful; and Mary has chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her. Luke 10:41-42.

Against: she allowed the preparation of the meal to sour her opportunity to be with Christ. Her desire to be hospitable backfired. She did not imitate Mary who just sat and listened. She did not reconsider her priorities and she became angry at God.

For: she wanted something done because she was a good planner. She was not sitting still and doing nothing. She was a gracious hostess.
