Are you an ant or swallow? We shall not always be inhabitants of the earth; whether you are tall or short, rich or poor, white or black; whether you like it or not.
The things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal; 2 Corinthians 4:18.
Here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one to come; Hebrews 13:14.
Dear Christian friends are we an ant or swallow? Do we spend our time amassing goods for the future? We shall not always be inhabitants of the earth. Out earthly home, i.e. our human body is a mere tent, but we have an eternal home in heaven (2 Corinthians 5:1). Soon, when Jesus comes, we shall go to be with him. So let us not be absorbed with the cares of this life and feverishly amass treasures that will perish. We are citizens of heaven (Philippians 3:20), for we await the return and the reign of the Lord Jesus, our savior.
Dear reader, maybe you have been a stranger to these spiritual realities up to now. Aren’t you preoccupied with the question of your eternal future? Even today God is offering you His forgiveness and eternal life through faith in Jesus.
