Sin will find you out in your character.
When a man steals, or gambles, the worst result is not seen anywhere but in the character. Some moral fibre has been coarsened, the ideal has been broken down, the high standard has been lowered. The honest man has become a thief. The man who sins is a sinner, even when the sin is over.
Ecclesiastics 12:14. For God shall bring every work into judgment with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
