Through Jesus we have peace with God and we have the peace of God. Peace with God has to do with our right relationship with God (Romans 5).
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you; John 14:27.
They have seduced my people, saying, Peace! When there is no peace; Ezekiel 13:10.
Pyrrhus, the King of Epirus (306-272 B.C.), is famed for his victories over the Romans. One such victory was achieved with such losses that he exclaimed, “Another victory like that, and we are lost.” Hence the expression, “Pyrrhic victory”, meaning success obtained at a great cost.
He often conserved with the philosopher Cineas, who one day asked him what he expected from his wars with the Romans.
“I hope to conquer the whole of Italy”.
“And after that?”
“We shall take Carthage, Africa, Greece and Macedonia and many other countries.”
“And when you have conquered the world?”
“Then we shall live in peace.”
“O King! Why not start with that?”

Hatred does not bring peace; neither does a bird on a rope receive peace… find peace with God.
