Jesus said to them, take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees. And they reasoned among themselves, saying, it is because we have taken no bread. But Jesus, being aware of it, said to them, O you of little faith, why do you reason among yourselves? Matthew 16:6-8.
Here we have a typical situation from real life. The disciples of the Lord Jesus had been concerned with other things and had forgotten to provide themselves with food. Now they were so occupied with this problem that they misunderstood the teaching the Master wished to impart to them at that moment. Although He was their Lord, who had just fed the multitude with bread and fish, they were worrying about their food.
Such cares can arise in our life too. I am not thinking of something that we might imagine, like unfounded fears, but of real problems that demand a solution.
