All appeared to be lost. The storm was taking the boat away, and any hope of rescue had disappeared. Suddenly a voice was heard, that of the apostle Paul, who was a prisoner because of his faith: “God to whom I belong and whom I serve” said, “Do not be afraid!”… “I believe God that it will be just as it was told me” (Acts 27:23-25). He had faith in God and believed things would happen as had been said. Similarly, the apostle Peter once said to Jesus, “We have come to believe and know” (John 6:69).
